Dog Training is a wonderful tool to build trust and a positive bond between you and your dog(s).
BUT…training any animal can be a daunting task, and dogs are no exception. After all, they don’t speak our language. However, it’s something that needs to be one of the top priorities for pet owners, right up there with health and nutrition. An untrained animal never truly learns boundaries and will struggle its entire life to sort things out between right and wrong. That lingering uncertainty and frustration takes its toll on everyone involved.
If any dog training process had to be described in a single word, “communication” is the one that truly fits the bill. No matter what’s being taught, you can’t expect to make a lot of progress if you and your dog aren’t on the same page. The human may be the one dishing out commands, but there’s feedback coming back up the leash in response to each and every little aspect of a session. It’s very much a two way street. Learning to read that feedback and then using it to shape your training techniques is the secret to success.
Luckily, training and communication skills aren’t something you need to be born with – they can be learned! Working with our dog training professional, you can easily come to understand the methods and techniques that will work best for you and your pup. Once those basic skills are established, there’s no limit to how much you can achieve.
